I am writing to provide you with some details with regards to the changes to the start of the day for ALL YEAR 10 PUPILS.
With effect from Tuesday 4th May, all Year 10 pupils will return to the pre-COVID start times of the school day and as such will be expected to be onsite for 8.45am each day. Year 10 pupils will return to a formal morning Form Time with their Form Tutors between 8.50am and 9.00am, prior to the start of lesson 1.
This will allow Form Tutors the opportunity to provide a high quality Form Time which will help create a positive learning climate and a well-structured start to the school day. There are no planned changes to the end of the school day for Year 10.
As you are already aware, as a school we have several COVID related systems and procedures in place to ensure pupils are safe in school. Each year group has specific pathways and movement zones around school to ensure that mixing of year group bubbles is kept to an absolute minimum. Alongside the existing staggered start and staggered finish times for all other year groups, these changes for year 10 will not affect pupil safety.
Can I thank you in advance for your support with these changes.
